How Failure Creates Great Success

Last Friday I took my 8 year old son skiing for the first time.

While he was off from school for parent teacher conferences, I just took OFF.

Because when you run your own successful home based business, you can do that sort of thing.

You know, movies in the middle of the day on a weekday while everyone else is at work, sleeping in 'til noon if you feel like it...you name it - YOU own your time to do what you want, when you want, with whom you want.

Anyway...

So I'm on a ski lift on my way up to the top of the mountain and I'm watching these young kids in the snow park below me, perform all sorts of aerials on skis.

It was pretty awesome to see these kids on skis doing backflips, twists and all sorts of maneuvers in mid air and actually land on their feet.

Well, when I got to the top of the lift and skied down the mountain a little, I decided to go check out the competition and watch for a few minutes with a couple hundred people standing around drinking hot chocolate and cheering the kids on.

So this one kid approaches the starting gate, ready to begin his heat, and starts gliding down the hill.

Just when all of us spectators are ready to see some magic, he catches an edge at his first jump and winds up face first on the snow, body flailing like a rag doll and sliding down on his belly towards the fence.

Everyone just stood silently to see if he was ok.

Thankfully, the kid laid there for just a quick moment, stood up, brushed himself off and continued back down the mountain to finish the rest of his routine.

Amazingly, he nailed every single jump and finished his run just flawless.

Matter of fact, he performed so well that he wound up coming in first place for his age group, which had 7 other kids all going for the gold medal.

And so, I began to really think about this.

Here's a kid who fell flat on his face within just seconds of getting started for his gold medal run, falls flat on his face, gets up and brushes himself off, and still finishes flawlessly.

All I could think if at first was...WOW -AWESOME!

But then I began thinking about it.

The reason this kid actually won, is because he wasn't afraid to fall again.

And because he did fall at first, the reason he performed the rest of his routine flawlessly, was because there was no more pressure to be perfect.

He already proved that he was human and was still able to perform at his best.

This is also why he won. Because this is how winners perform.

They are not afraid to fail and continue learning from each experience. This is how you develop wisdom.

This then got me thinking about how home business entrepreneurs operate.

They put so much pressure on themselves to do everything right, say the right things and be perfect, that they go either way too slow to ever create any momentum, stay stuck or just dont go at all.

When all along, if they would not worry so much about the outcome and just stay focussed on the process, not only would they learn the most productive skills they need to get to the top of success mountain, but they'd also develop the character to stay there.

You see, a HUGE part of success, is failure. Because without failure, there would not be any success.

Just like without cold, there would not be heat or without bottom, there would be no top
So, if you want more success in your business and in your life, not only should you be willing to welcome failure, but expect it. More importantly, expect to learn from it.

So, the bottom line is...if you are already experiencing some results, great - keep at it.
However, if you truly want to double your rate of success, then you must be willing to double your rare of failure.

Remember, you don't have to get it all right to succeed - you just have to get it going.

Millionaire #11...Coming Right UP?

It's been said that smart people learn from their own mistakes; but wise people learn from the mistakes of others.

When starting a new home based business, the value of surrounding yourself with successful people is truly priceless.

The truth is, if 10 of your best friends are millionaires, there's a pretty good chance that you are going to become #11.

How would you like this opportunity?

The more time you invest working with successful people, chances are, you will start thinking like them, speaking like them and taking action like them.

Over time, you will start offering value like them and then start earning like them.

When Sophia & I first started our New Business, our Company was hosting a LIVE Event in Las Vegas just a few days later.

We had a choice to make: Either keep the capital in our bank account to be used for advertising and marketing...OR...get to the event and meet our mentors and the top money earners in the Company.

So, that's exactly what we did. We invested in ourselves and our future and flew with our 4 1/2 month old son to Las Vegas for a 4 day weekend to meet with, get to know and pick the brains of the top leaders and income earners.

Not only did we dine with them and get to know them personally, but we asked questions and listened intently to exactly what they are doing to be top earners.

We introduced ourselves on breaks and asked a few questions and at every turn, we sought them out, to learn some more.

By the end of our first LIVE exposure to the business and top earners, we had pages and pages of notes, so that as soon as we returned home to begin marketing, we knew exactly what we had to do, in order to become one of them.

Well, after just 5 months into our New Business, we've been blessed to do just that, making over 5 figures in just our 4th month and right now, in just our 5th month, we have already earned over 15K, and we still have half the month to go!

We dove in, committed to learning the a new System, the Skills and a new way of marketing, and sure enough, we are now right on top of the Leaderboard in 6 out of 6 Categories that they rank their members.

Click on the screen shot below to enlarge. (click back to return to this page)

Keep in mind that we did this without:

- Calling Cold Leads
- Pitching our Friends or Family
- Making a List of Everyone We Know
- Hosting One Home Party
- Attending Weekly Meetings or Hotel Events

Yes, we have cracked the code and are working daily with our team to duplicate our success.

Now we know that this type of success is NOT for everyone, but for the right people, it's the best way to master marketing on the internet, learn technology and position yourself in front of a huge audience of people who are already searching for what you have to offer.

This is how our System works and how you can start making big money with us.

Since we are doing it right now, we know exactly what to do, how to teach it and how to guide anyone with the desire to succeed, right to the top.

If that is you, go ahead and check out our Business & Marketing System.

We look forward to meeting you and teaching you everything we know...

Speak with you then,

Aaron & Sophia

2 Biggest Mistakes of Home Business Entrepreneurs

Ok, so today we're going to look at 2 of the Biggest Mistakes that most entrepreneurs make that casuse them to FAIL when getting started in a new Home Based Business and how YOU can avoid them like the plague.

After you read this post, you should be way ahead of those who will continually fall into these traps and be well on your way to much more success.

The 2 Biggest Mistakes of Home Business Entrepreneurs are:

#1- They tell themselves the wrong story.

#2 - They allow the same reason that they are looking to start a new business, be the excuse why they don't.

Let's examine.

#1 - The only thing that stops people from achieving huge success, is the story that they tell themselves about why they cannot do it.

I don't know enough.

I am not smart enough.

I don't have the skills.

I don't have the time.

I don't have the money.

I don't know, I don't have, I'm not...you get my drift?

This is a story that they've been telling themself for years, if not decades and sadly enough, they believe it.

So to them, it's true.

And no matter how much they think they want to change, until they change their story, they will never change anything about themselves, their business or their life.

Now that's a SAD story...

#2 - They allow the same reason that they are looking to start a new business, be the excuse why they don't.

For example - a person says, "I don't have enough money. I want to start a home based business."

So they do some research and find out that it will cost them $500 to get started. And then here comes that excuse and they say, "I want to start a home based business because I know that it could provide me with a lot more money, but I just don't have enough money to get started".

Another person says, "I don't spend enough quality time with my family or free time for myself. I want to start a home based business because I know it can provide me more free time."

So they start looking at different opportunities, but don't join any, because...you guessed it...they say, "I want to start a business because I know that it could provide me a lot more free time in my life to do the things I really want to do , but I can't get started because I just don't have enough time."

One more... Perhaps even you might be saying, "I want to start a business because I'm afraid of what the economy is going to do. I'm afraid that I might lose my job. I'm afraid that I might not have enough money to provide for myself and my family and I'm afraid that I could lose my home if I can't pay my bills or mortgage."

So, you begin investigating how you can start a home based business so that you don't have to live with all that constant fear, and sure enough, you don't, because you begin to feel the fear set in and then the story comes and then the silent excuse that only you know to be true...you become afraid.

So let's recap:

The 2nd biggest mistake people looking to start a home based business make, is that they allow the same reason they are looking to get started, be the exact same excuse that they don't.

Do you see the trap here?

It's all in the mind of the person making the excuse.

Truth is, you cannot solve a problem with the same mindset that it took to create it.

So, in the future, if you are looking to start a new home based business, make sure to tell yourself that you can be successful, and then, when it comes down to your reasons why, do not allow yourself to believe the story, about why you can't, shouldn't or wouldn't do it.

You can do whatever you set your mind to.

All it takes is to re-program your thinking, get aligned with a great mentor and a great system and if you are willing to be coached and then put forth the effort by doing what other successful people are doing, you can be, do and have whatever you are looking for.

Maximize, Optimize & Monetize

It doesn't shock me.

Matter of fact, it's to be expected.

Afterall, we are in an economy and marketplace that is so different than any most of us have ever lived through.

Corporate Employees are not the only people who need a Plan B these days - EVERYONE does.

And not just a Plan B, but a Plan C, Plan D & Plan E.

It used to be that we'd have more security if we just started a home based business.

Today, to have only one income stream is dangerous - downright ignorant.

Especially dangerous and ignorant for the Home Business Professional to only offer one product or service.

It used to be this way.

Get behind your company and market it and nothing else.

No secondary income.

No back up plan.

Ask some of the Excel Communications Reps how they feel today.

Ask some of the Nutrition for Life Distributors how they feel today.

Most of them banked on these HUGE companies being around forever.

They neglected the fact that just as fast as a company can rise, it can fall.

And if you weren't doing your business right, your business could wind up doing you.

You must not have one income stream anymore.

There is too much at stake.

You must brand yourself first, then your company or products.

You see, the Market dictates which companies and products will succeed.

The Market decides who will become a winner and who will lose.

The Market determines who deserves to prosper and who will continually struggle.

And with the market getting bigger and bigger every day, you'd better provide more value than ever if you want to compete.

You'd better provide cutting edge information for people to benefit from.

And you'd better provide better vehicles for people to use to get what they want.

Gone are the days of making $5 for each person on Autoship in your downline.

Gone are the days of hoping that your company pays you big money for the rest of your life.

Sure, it could happen.

But what if it doesn't.

What if your company goes through a major shift and instead of seeing massive momentum, you see a declining volume and check.

What will you do? Work harder of course.

How about work smarter?

How about making up the difference in your declining income with other streams?

How about finding a niche and offering several different tools or systems to your prospects and then offering your primary business on the back end, if they make it that far.

Quit cramming your business and products down people's throats.

What if before they even showed up in your downline, you offered them some valuable training, some tools to help them succeed, even if they never joined you.

What if you learned to "monetize" every aspect of your marketing so that no matter who came on board with you or not, you profited every time.

It's being done by all the top marketers online.

It's being done by all the top marketers offline.

Both are making money hand over fist.

Perhaps its time for you to do it too.

Learn about monetization.

Learn about self liquidating offers.

Learn about continuity.

Learn how to make it big in today's marketplace and offer a solution, not just a product that people don't want, don't need and can't afford.

I'll tell you what though...you'd be surprised how fast people will pay for something that will help them become more successful

Go here to learn how to attract endless leads for your business & cash to your bank account, whether they join or not.

It's really just the beginning to a whole new world.

The Squirrel and Your Success

When I was a young boy, I used to watch my grandfather set squirrel traps in his yard.

He did this because from time to time, a squirrel would make its way down his chimney and into the house. My grandmother appreciated his efforts more than you can imagine.

So, my grandpa would catch them, and then drive them over to the local park and set them free.

Each time he trapped one, sometimes within hours, another squirrel would find its way into the trap and feast on the peanuts and crackers provided by my grandfather.

It was quite comical to say the least as my grandfather became obsessed with keeping these furry little pests out of his house. Go figure!

One day it occured to him that perhaps it wasn't just another squirrel eating all the bait he set out - maybe it was the same squirrel just coming back each time it got hungry.

So...one day he decided to mark its tail with a tiny bit of purple spray paint and then see if his little friend was in fact the frequent flyer.

It turned out that it was not the same squirrel every time, but a different one, until one day, sure enough there was the purple tail!

We never laughed so hard as that day when my grandpa told us this story about how he was out-smarted by a squirrel.

Observing this as a young boy, I learned a thing or two about squirrels, that has everything to do with your success.

I take the following excerpt from John Elliot's Overacheivment.

Imagine this: Have you ever seen a squirrel scurry across a telephone wire?

What do you think it was thinking?

Quick hint: It wasn’t.

Squirrels don’t think. They just scurry.

It's actually a little more complex than that, but the point is simple:

They’re not up there on the high wire thinking, “Oh, my! This one’s high. It’s a little windy today. If I take a wrong step that’s gonna hurt. OMG! It’ll kill me actually. OK. Left front foot, now back right foot. Oh, Geez! This is harder than I thought it would be.”

Thoughts like that require a cerebral cortex.

And, if you want to get into what Eliot calls the “Trusting Mindset”—the mindset of overachievers — you need to learn to turn it off and give your skills free reign, not focusing “on anything but the target of that particular moment.”

------------END of Excerpt-----------------

So, what does this mean to your success?

Everything.

It means trusting yourself.

It means doing, not thinking.

As the late, great Bob Schmidt told me 10 years ago sitting in his little office off Tamarac in San Diego, there are only 2 types of soldiers -the quick and the dead. (not to be distasteful)

So, if you desire to become a top producer and become more successful, don't allow yourself to think yourself right out of success.

I see too many people do this, where they analyze everything, think it through, but just never act on it.

I mean, what good is it to know it all, but have nothing to show for it in terms of actually using that knowledge to profit?

This is called being a "broke genius". The know it all who has nothing to speak of.

The key then is not to over analyze and just do it.

Just like the squirrel.

Boxing & Success in the Marketplace

Just 48 hours ago, this past Saturday Night in Las Vegas at the MGM Grand Hotel, Oscar De La Hoya and Manny "Pacman" Pacquio squared off in what was to be the best prize fight of the year.

Now if you know boxing, Oscar De La Hoya has been one of the biggest money earners in boxing history.

Manny Pacquio, although not as successful financially is the best pound for pound fighter in the World.

For the past 12 weeks before their historic fight, both of them spent 10 hours per day, training, studying tapes of each other and preparing for their battle.

Not shockingly, Manny Pacquio beat Oscar De La Hoya to a pulp, forcing the Champion not to come out to fight after the 8th round.

Truly, the fight was one sided, Pacquio beating De La Hoya to the punch every time and making De La Hoya's face look like a catcher's mit.

Moral of the story is this:

While boxing fans watched these two men prepare for what was to become a slugfest in the ring, what most people didn't see was between the lines.

While De La Hoya glamoured it up for the public and the media allowing them into his training camp and personal life, Pacquio stayed more focused on the fight itself, trained much harder and blocked out as many distractions as possible.

Sure, De La Hoya made a bunch of money because of all his publicity, but Manny won the fight because when training for the biggest fight of his life, he did what works.

Conclusion here: Looking good does not = success.

Doing what works is the only way to ensure the outcome you are looking for.

Just because someone likes the look or the appearance when it comes to marketing, what the real marketer is concerned with is not how it "looks", but how it "works".

Is it effective?

Is it persuassive?

Does it create an emotion that makes the prospect want to act...or is it just "entertaining"?

The purpose of your marketing is not to look good, but to give people what they really want, which is solutions to their problems, strategies that work in today's marketplace and cutting edge training that teaches them how to market, not just "pitch" or "prospect".

This is what makes the difference in success and failure.

Marketing is everything in today's economy.

Yes, it's important to offer great value in your service or product, but its the marketing that is going to move it into the marketplace.

If your marketing is not good, even with the best product in the world, it will not move nearly as much.

So be smart about your Marketing and who you are learning from.

For the best marketing training, start at the beginning.

It all begins with understanding your position in the marketplace - how others view you.

Then, it moves into the attration marketing principle - who will seek you out and find you.

Then, it moves into value and servant leadership.

Then, funded proposals and self liquidating offers.

Then, it moves into voluntary enrollment, sponsorship and then success.

This is the flow that the top marketers online are creating today.

This is the way of doing business in today's marketplace if you want to be like Manny Pacquio, a clear cut winner.

Consider this when choosing who to work with...

I got a call today from a disillusioned member of my organization who apparently thought that by joining my marketing team, that just by association alone, that she would automatically become successful in her own enterprise.

After listening to her share some of her concerns about how nobody was doing anything to build her business for her, I had to explain some things:

Here's what I told her:

"Mary (not her real name), I work with people who:

A) Call me
B) Show Up
C) Take Action

Let me explain.

A - I work with those who stay in contact with me regularly.

Based on how often I hear from them, when they call, I might take their call LIVE, or let it go to voicemail, based on their history of calls to me, their purpose of calling and whether or not I am busy at the time.

Oftentimes, if I'm available, I will answer the phone simply to find out what they want.

I do my best to answer very quickly or set an appointment for them to call me back at a designated time that will work for both of us.

You see, I prioritize my time based on how long it will require for me to assist them.

Most of the time, I simply refer them to whichever resource will answer their question or show them how to do something that they are looking to accomplish.

Just like a good attorney who doesn't know all the laws - just where to find them, neither do you have to know every answer to people's questions - just where to direct them to find them on their own.

Remember, if you are a problem solver for everyone, you breed co-dependency into your organization and will never have a team of leaders - only followers.

B - I work with those who regularly show up.

This means that they show up on conference calls, webinars and at events. It could be a local event they attend or a large International Convention.

Those who show up, grow up. And so I do not baby those who come up with multiple excuses about why they can't attend, because I know that its never that they "can't"; it's that they just "won't".

Remember, people can either make excuses or money, but never both.

C - I work with people who take action.

This action could be bringing on new customers or distributors or consultants, but here is what working with people who take action really means:

They take action without having to consult you every time they do!

They just do it. And sometimes they are successful and sometimes not.

But these are people who know that the fortune is in the action that they take every day. Even if it doesn't look like they are winning on the outside, they know that they are winning on the inside and that soon enough, the results of their effort will show.

These are people who are not afraid to fail or make a mistake and who are willing to be bad before they become good.

This person must have a healthy enough self esteem to take some punches and get knocked down a time or two, in order to learn what doesn't work, and then do what does.

So, to wrap up this post, these are the things I consider when choosing who to work with.

Who do you like to work with?

Post your comments below and let's continue this discussion.

Truer Words Never Spoken

I am breaking radio silence.

Letting the cat out of the bag.

Spilling the proverbial "beans".

I received this email from a mentor of mine almost 7 years ago when I first got online.

I filed it - too busy pitching my business and peddling my vitamins.

Ignoring it cost me MILLIONS.

Today, it's changed my business and my income.

It's never been more appropriate than right now.

The message is clear.

The verbage is a little out-dated.

There are new trends to live and die by.

In my 2nd month truly applying the concept, I earned a cool EXTRA $5,489.

On top of my Primary MLM Income, on Top of my Affiliate Income, on Top of my Consultant / Coaching Income.

Think about this.

Don't say I didn't share this with you.

Don't say I didn't give you a heads up.

Joe wrote:

"There's almost a conspiracy in MLM.

Because while the mega-earners rake in money that would make most white collar ceo's blush over, really, it's money that is made UNDER THE TABLE.

And your MLM company is NOT teaching you what I am about to let you in on.

It's almost a conspiracy.

BANK on THIS:

What you are about to unravel here is not spoken about at your MLM companies rallies.

Here it is.

Some call it making money when everyone says "no".

Some call it a back-end income and multiple streams of income.

I call it UNDER THE TABLE almost invisible money.

Here's the bottom line.

How I OUT-FOXED an entire industry is relatively simple.

1)I learned to make money BEFORE my downline showed up.
2)I learned to DO MLM for FREE ala making MONEY #1 priority.

HINT: if you do not learn how to do MLM and like quick, MLM will continue to do you!
(as it already is doing TO YOU right now)

Real life reality check 101, given to me by my wife.

"MAKE MONEY JOE!"

Learn this and you will 100% for sure be in a whole different MLM world.

Here it is and please, I beg you, do not be put off by how deceptively obvious this is.

THE IDEA:

IN ORDER to fund yourself or to stay in the game is to be able to USE OTHER people's money while you spend ooddles of time and money advertising.

Your phone bill goes up.

MLM products cost $100 to $300 per month.

You place ads and start buying all sorts of books and tapes.

I repeat, YOU BETTER START MAKING MONEY!

TIP #2 - Before your $2,000 per month MLM checks start adding up, learn to make MONEY when people say "NO" to your OPP.

FORGET about lighting candles and praying to your GURU rich uplines and chanting about your company's products.

PRODUCTS are not the answer.

BRANDING your site and company is not the answer.

BUYING the latest Ebook is certainly not the answer.

The answer (for me anyway) is to BE THE LAST GUY STANDING.

The answer is to learn how to GET GOBS and reams of NEW fresh blood into your MLM.

The answer is to MAKE IT here in 2008 and still be making $10,000 to $50,000 per month in 2022.

10-20 years from now.

The key is to be of the few who are STILL SOLVENT and STILL being paid intense money in 10-20 years.

BRANDING won't do it.

HYPING products? How eighties.

SELLING umpteen different Ebooks isn't it.

The key for you to OUT FOX an industry where only A smidgen make a F/T income is to:

1)START MAKING $100 to $300 per week, like NOW!
2)TURNING people who reject your main MLM into CASH

Okay, how.

Here is the mechanics, or syntax:

I sell leads through a LEAD MLM to everyone who steps within 500 yards of me, do you?

I have sold MLM picks and shovels (MLM tapes) for years.

THIS little idea is about making legitimate and significant money WHEN suspects say NO to your main MLM.

EASY?

Well, if it was, you'd already be earning $1,000 a month JUST as a re-seller for a cool affiliate deal and with having a primo 'lil LEAD MLM to back-door people."

END JOE

Your next step is to learn how to do what Joe here is talking about.

Make money whether they join or not.

Make money before they join.

Make money when they join.

Make money after they join.

It keeps rolling in...

It's as simple as pie.

It works like a charm.

$5,489 later, it works!

See for yourself how powerful this is.

Have people pay YOU to talk to them.

Earn on every lead, every prospect.

Put money into your bank account.

Here's how I learned the best way to do it.

Go here now

Until my next post...

Profile of a Successful Entrepreneur

Almost every day, I get asked by my business partners, clients and students, "What is the ideal profile of a succesful entrepreneur?"

They want to know, "How can you tell who will be successful and who most likely, will not."

Well, the truth is that you can never be 100% sure, because you just never know whose dreams are bigger than their problems.

The only way to really find out who is going to make it, is to give them a track to run on and see who shows up at the finish line!

This doesn't mean you don't coach them along the way, but if you give people a track to run on and they never leave the starting gates, well you know that is not the right person to invest your time into.

It's almost like breeding horses when it comes to success.

You can breed a horse for strength.

You can breed a horse for size and perhaps even color.

But the one thing you cannot breed a horse for, is heart.

And this is one of the few traits that if a person has, will carry them through the toughest of times in their life and business.

However, here are some signs that indicate what you might expect from people:

#1 - Succesful people make decisions quickly and change them slowly.

Unsuccessful people can't decide what to do, take a long long time to choose and typically change courses overnight. This is a direct result of being more job oriented and less wired for entrepreneurship.

The successful entrepreneur sees an opportunity and jumps all over it.

Unsuccessful people are presented with the facts and resort to logic or reason why they should or should not get started. This lack of decision making, results in low vibrational energy and actually repels people, money and success from them.

Successful are the people who when they hear that a seminar or convention is taking place, they choose right then and there, finances in place or not, that they will be there no matter what. They see themselves there, they feel themselves there and they do whatever it takes, starting right away to live into that reality.

Sure enough, they make the event and as a result, come back a completely different person than when it began. They return home closer to the person it will take for them to take their business to the next level and often do.

These are also the same people who see something they want and decide that they must own it.
It could be a car, a home or even just a position in their company. Perhaps even an income level. No matter what "it" is, they are driven to succeed and make no excuses if it takes longer than normal to acheive their goals. They are too busy producing.

Successful people are not a part of the Not Much Crowd. This is the crowd that answers "Not much", when asked what's going on. If you are a part of the "Not Much Crowd", chances are good that you are not on your way to acheiving much.

It doesn't matter what the situation is; successful people make decisions quickly and are always working on something whether its a project, making the next level in their business or creating something new to improve their position in the marketplace.

These people not only make quick decisions but they also live a life of complete belief, faith and trust.

And sure enough, their bank account and lifestyle reflects their ability to choose fast and decide without having to "think" much.

(Be sure to read my Need for Speed Post from a couple weeks ago to learn more about this get it done quality)

#2 - Successful people know that 90% of getting what they want is knowing what they have to give up in order to get it.

This means sacrificing non-revenue producing activities like television, bowling on Thursday nights and sometimes even family time.

In other words, successful people do the things today that others will not do, so that they can do the things tomorrow that others cannot do.

Put another way, successful people do whatever they have to do as quickly as they can, so that they can do whatever they want to do, for as long as they can.

These people are in a rush to get it done now and want to enjoy the rewards forever.

#3 - Successful people invest in themselves because they know that its the best investment they can make.

Unlike stocks or real estate or even private placements, which you have no real control over, successful people are constantly looking to develop their own personal skills.

This way, no matter what the economy or state of the industry, they will always be in high demand.

They know that the marketplace pays big money to those who have skills, know how to use them and can teach them those same skills.

Just some of the skills you want to continually invest in:

- How to prospect, speak with people and connect.

- How to advertise your business to the right people.

- How to market so that you leverage your time and effort while getting high quality targeted traffic to come to you.

- How to use technology so that you can communicate more effectively in today's marketplace.

- And how to set up a marketing funnel using online methods to make sure that your own personal economy never goes dry.

This combines both online and offline methods into one complete package.

Yes, succesfful people must be well rounded in all areas mentioned above because if not, in today's marketplace, they will not make it.

While everyone else lives in fear about what they are going to do, successful people are already doing it.

So, are you a success story just waiting to happen?

Or...are you one of those people who can't make decisions and prefer to watch television than get on a training call, webinar or attend an event?

Only you can decide which type of entrepreneur you are being today.

All I know is that good things don't come to those who wait, but to those who choose to hustle.

Until my next post...

Successful Networkers Already Know This...

Sophia & I took our family to the Ringling Brothers Circus this past Friday Night.

Even after all these years, it's still the Greatest Show on Earth!

One of the acts, the Tiger Tamer should be of particular interest to you.

The act reminded me of a story I once heard about how to get through tough times.

Pay close attention because this one philosophy will help you become a huge success.

It goes like this:

Years ago the circus used to take place under the big top, long before the indoor colliseums and arenas they are held in these days.

One particular night during the most exciting act, the Tiger Tamer, the lights went out.

It was pitch black.

Thousands of people could have gone into an absolute frenzy, except that the Tiger Tamer's voice came on the moment the big top went dark.

In a very gentle tone, he spoke, "Nobody make a move. Everybody stay seated."

The audience sat silent in the pitch black darkness.

A few seconds later, "WhaaaChhhhhhhh" again went the crack of his whip.

Then he spoke again, "Everyone stay calm. Please remain in your seats, WhaaaChhhhhh" his whip went again.
DEAD SILENCE AGAIN...

Seconds later, again, the crack of his whip, "WHAAACHHHHHH"!

Then, the lights came back on and he continued to finsish his act with the Tigers.

Completely astonished about what took place, a reporter knocked on the Tiger Tamer's dressing room door after the show.

He was to write an article about the show that night and had to find out how in the world the Tiger Tamer kept everything under control.

The Tiger Tamer told the reporter:

"When the lights went out tonight, I knew I had to take control of the situation.

You see, I knew a couple of things that nobody else knows.

#1 - Those 800 lb Bengal Tigers, although nobody could see them, they could see every single eyelash on every single person in the audience.

#2 - If they noticed anyone acting strangely or making a sudden move, they would viciously attack whoever it was and they would have been mauled.

So, to make sure that nothing happened, I did in the dark exactly, what I do in the light."

And this my friend is exactly how you get through any tough times in your life.

While everyone else is probably worried and filled with fear about the state of our economy, you do not have to let our nation's economy dictate what happens to you personally.

You know, even in tough financial times, there are people who still earn a 6 & 7 Figure Income in Home Based Business.

Why you ask?

Because those who are willing to help the most people solve the biggest problems, profit the most.

And right now, with millions of people looking online to make money working from home to either supplement their income, or even replace it and work full time from home, by positioning yourself in front of these people, as the leader they are looking to follow, you can't help but start making a ton of money.

But you must learn to get people to come to you.

Because who finds who is a critical part of the equation.

If they find you, you maintain your leadership position and are considered the expert.

This is how you can sign up 5, 10, 20 or more new people every month.
I see many of my business partners doing this already.

To learn more about why this is so critical and exactly how to do it , skip on over to this letter that I think will make a huge impact on your success.

The Need for Speed...

Over the years, one of the biggest factors I noticed that separates successful people from everybody else, is that after coming up with a great idea to start a new business or simply move their existing business forward, they take immediate action.

While most people never do a single thing when they have brilliant idea, successful people employ what is called speed of implementation.

This means as soon as the idea comes in, they get moving on it right away and start making progress.

They don't have to have all the answers or know exactly how they are going to get to the 2nd step or beyond.

They just jump first and build their wings on the way down.

In other words, they don't have to get it right - just get it going.

Critical to any entrepreneurs success , is not having to be perfect to produce.

Because the need for perfection usually leads to procrastination.

This is called Negative Perfection.

Positive Perfection is the entrepreneur who takes the risk, makes the move, gets it going, and then...adjusts along the way to make sure she is pointing more in the right direction.

It's like a plane that takes off from New York en route to Los Angeles.

It may start out going South, but eventually makes that turn West.

And all along the way, the pilot makes small incremental adjustments to keep the plane on course.

So no matter what you've been putting off today, get it started.

Begin that new project that you know will move your business forward.

Take the first step.

Pick up the phone and start calling your leads & prospects.

Start your online campaign.

Start branding yourself.

Make that first video.

Write your first article.

Upload your first blog.

Send out that first press release.

Learn that one new skill that if you knew, your business would flourish.

One step closer to freedom.

Don't put it off another day.

One at a time, knock out that idea.

Move down your list.

Your freedom is waiting...

Speed of Implementation.

It's how you must operate in free enterprise to make it.

Aaron

Is Your Mind Playing Tricks on You?

Yesterday while I was at the gym riding a recumbant bike as part of my daily workout, I found myself in the middle of a back and forth struggle.

No, it wasn't because I was riding between two other people arguing while they worked out,
but an internal struggle between my conscious and subconscious minds.

You see, I set the pedal resistance on the bike unusually high after about a 2 minute warm up and set the digital timer for 30 minutes.

My goal was to pedal for 28 minutes at a level that I'd normally only reach for about 3 minutes during the peak of my ride before I cut back to a more comfortable level and then cooled down.

In other words, I was severly challenging myself in a way I'd never done before.

It was truly a test of my own will, just to see how far I could push myself.

I knew that when I set this goal for myself, (and the timer) that I was in for a major test.

So as my legs were churnin' & burnin' in just the first minute of this super high intensity portion of my ride, already my mind was coming up with reasons why I should just get off the bike and go lift some weights.

Excuse #1 - I was tired. (I wasn't at all)

Excuse #2 - I can just do it tomorrow. (Yeah right - don't fall for this one - most people do)

Excuse #3 - I don't want to burn myself out for my weight training. (just another lame excuse not to leave it all on the table)

Yes, I was being challenged by myself and it was pretty interesting. I was actually laughing at myself during this back and forth battle.

In the meantime, my legs were doing just fine. A little pain from lactic acid build up, but nonetheless, they were still moving and I was about 5 or 6 minutes into my workout!

Does this happen to you too?

Do you ever attempt to justify and give yourself permission to quit something you've started only to find yourself right in the middle of the undaunting task, making progress despite your attempts to sabotage your success?

If you are human, it probably happens often.

It does for me.

But like me, you overcome.

You press on.

You practice discipline.

I did and continued on my ride.

I listened to music, typed some ideas into my iPhone Notepad and just visualized passing my 2nd Degree Black Belt test in Tae Kwon Do late next spring. (Yes, I'm beginning to prepare now; not wait until a few months before my test when I have to cram...a lesson inside a lesson!)

At 30 minutes of my ride, I finished.

And let me tell you....it was AWESOME!

My legs didn't fall off, my heart didn't explode and my mind was at ease.

It was the best feeling I had after a workout in months, mainly because I kept on going, when all forces tried to stop me.

Do they do this to you too?

Do you feel resistance from people and situations around you on your way to success?

If so, embrace them.

Allow them to challenge you but stand tall in the face of adversity and keep moving your legs.

Because if you don't keep moving, continuing on and making small incremental progress, you will lose.

Empty.

Defeated.

Beaten.

But this can only happen if you are not working on yourself and practicing the disciplines that you know you must master in order to succeed.

You see, your body will do what your mind tells it to.

And it's no different while working out than building your business.

What makes it challenging is that your "logic" in justifying why it is ok if you quit is so good, that you almost believe it.

But you must not take that advice.

Continue on, keep on moving forward and keep your eyes on the end result.

Stay committed to the process and know that every day that you move forward, every step, every pedal and every moment of challenge that you overcome, that you are that much closer to success and creating an exceptional life for yourself.

Remember, the bigger the test, the better your testimonial and without some darn war to fight, the warrior may as well be dead.

Be a warrior.

Keep on fighting for your freedom.

Keep on fighting for your family.

Don't let your mind play tricks on you.

You can be, do and have everything you've ever wanted.

Just never quit and keep moving your legs!

What Makes the Difference between Success & Failure?

Looking back at the past decade of my networking career, there are several philosophies that have greatly contributed to my success over the years.

Now keep in mind, back in 1995 when I first set out to take back control of my life, I was a personal trainer in a gym, reporting to work every day at 5:30 a.m. in a pair of shorts and a collard t-shirt.

My job entailed holding a clipboard and counting backwards from ten to one while my clients lifted weights.

Those days, I had a whole different set of philosophies.

I lived paycheck to paycheck, couldn't afford to take one day off no matter how I felt; tired, sick or whatever, bills always on my mind, commuting 45 minutes each way and having to put up with adult babies who complained, made excuses, procrastinated and cheated on their diets!

I did all this for 20K per year.

When I reached my own pain threshold, (you know...that point that you just can't take it anymore and know you have to do something about it), I made the decision to stop trading my time for dollars and never work for anyone else ever again. (new philosophies beginning to form)

So, even though I started out as a personal trainer living in a small apartment, I was able to flip my entire life around with one single decision to change.

I was so disgusted about what Corporate America was all about, that I got into business for myself and the rest as they say, is history.

After running my own one-man-band private label sports supplement business for several years and going backwards into a lot of deb't, I decided to get more serious about my present and future and got focused on success in network marketing.

I was committed to developing passive in'come though the power of leverage which came from building my people and marketing teams. (Notice I said, building people; not building my business. A philosophy inside a philosophy!)

At first, I did not get great results (to the naked eye at least), but over the years, the philosophies that I adhered to, along with total commitment, discipline and massive action, I've been able to reach a level of complete and total fre'edom.

If you came to our Industry for these same things, here's one of my Old vs. New Personal Philosophies that you may want to look into for yourself: ( I will publish more in future posts).

Old Philosophy - Don't do anything unless it can be done perfectly.

New Philosophy - Doing something, even if its wrong, is better than doing nothing at all.

As my friend (who I met up at the Ritz in West Palm last month for 8 days with our families) Litman says, "You don't have to get it right; just get it going."

Truth is, everyone is a perfectionist in some way.

And since that includes you, you've got two choices:

Either positive or negative.

The Positive Perfectionist is a doer.

They are producers.

They get going and make adjustments along the way.

They don't require approval or permission to do anything. They just do it.

Oftentimes they fire before they are ready or even aim. (Some of the biggest success stories come from this personality by the way!)

They makes changes as they go forward and get better as they continue.

They make progress, even if they experience a temporary set back. (Remember, the set back is the set UP, for the Come Back!)

They stay outside of their comfort zone, which is why they succeed. They are constantly chasing perfection through action.

They jump first and grow their wings on the way down.

They are big producers.

So, the key is to just get going. Just start.

Do the wrong things until you do the right things. As long as you are moving forward, you are making progress.

The Negative Perfectionist is a procrastinator.

Most often, they don't start anything unless it's perfect.

They seek approval and/or permission from others to move forward.

The Negative Perfetionist cleans their desk, organizes their files, and practices their approach, yet they never get anywhere because by the time they get around to doing actual business, they are too tired from all the "getting ready to get ready" and as a result, make no progress.

They call their sponsor and ask how they sound on their new headset, want to bounce new ideas off their friends and read the script a hundred times so that they can sound perfect when they read it to their suspects.

Anything to prevent having to take the real action that is going to make them successful.

Anything to keep them from getting out of their comfort zone.

Anything to keep them from having to make a decision and commit to it.

Anything from doing the wrong thing, so as not to look foolish or feel bad about themself.

Anything not to speak to new people, learn to market or improve their value by investing in themself.

So, here's how you go from being a Negative Perfectionist to a Positive Perfectionist:

Do something, anything, even if it's not 100% correct.

Take a chance.

Take a risk.

Invest in yourself and your leadership value.

Don't be afraid to fail.

Don't be afraid to rack up some losses.

Don't be afraid to take a step back in order to make the big leap.

What doesn't kill you will only make you stronger.

You can always go back and correct mistakes and by taking notes and keeping score with yourself and your progress, you will gain the most important thing, and that is experience.

And this experience you develop, will give you that 6th sense called Intuition, which will allow you to make smart choices, act without "thinking" and going from being in your head, to coming from your heart.

Remember, as my friend Jeff Combs says, "Heart beats Talent Everytime!"

Develop more heart and acheive more success!

Keep your eyes peeled for more of my Favorite Old vs. New Philosophies in future posts.

Are you a Nut Job?

I was listening to a Conference Call the other day, waiting for my time to speak,
while sitting back in my iJoy Back Massage Chair and snacking on some Pistachio
nuts.

Sure enough, I had shelled through about a dozen of them, when I picked out that
one nut that was almost 100% sealed shut.

I thought I saw a big enough split in the shell to wedge myfingernail into, but after
almost ripping the nail from my thumb, I realized that even though it looked good,
it wasn't worth the effort.

I had a whole bag of pistachios sitting on my lap, justwaiting to be shelled and
popped into my mouth.

That one pistachio was one tough nut to crack.

There's a very important lesson to be learned here when it comes to prospecting...

"Spend less time with more people!"

Don't get hung up on those who are "un-crackable".

Check for a person's willingness to be opened and led to success.

Remember, most people won't qualify for your time, so don't allow yourself to get
sucked up into their inability to make decisions or break free from their stinkin'
thinkin'!

Truth is, there are so many people out there, just waiting for a leader like you to
show up in their lives.

With a HUGE market looking for those who have leadership ability, the key for you
is to become a Master Prospector, so that when youcome across these people,
both you and they can easily identify each other andyour efforts will not feel like
"work".

Your conversations will become effortless and simple and youwill feel like you've
just made a new friend, who is looking forward to you leading them to success.

So, Best of the Best Prospecting Tip #5 from AaronRashkin.com, "Spend less time
with more people."

Quit wasting your time on those tough nuts, who will mostlikely, never be cracked.

Do this and you will find those who are ready, willing andable to get started with
you.

So, until next time...when I post my next message, it's to the top with your success!
